Welcome to
Kingfish's Antiques
A reminder of my grandfather's ways
Our store is an 1860's home filled with antique furniture, glassware, collectibles and accent pieces. The original logs are exposed throughout much of the home's interior making it the perfect setting for our inventory.

I believe Winter has settled in. It's cold outside! It's warm in the shop though and Rick can deliver in between the snowfall so don't wait until Spring to pick out that piece. You might consider a new look to your old dining room with these gorgeous oak pressed back chairs.

Happy New Year everyone!
2010 already - WOW. Rick and I want to thank you. We're very pleased to have moved plenty of inventory into your homes in the past year. This means that if you haven't been by lately, you really should do so. Things change every week it seems.
With the exception of adverse weather conditions, we will be open throughout the winter.
December 21st, 2009
The record snowfall is over yet we are still digging out. We do plan to be clear and open on Wednesday the 23rd. Then we are closed to spend the holiday with family and back open again Wednesday the 31st for one final year end sale day. Send an email to Kingfishsantiques@verizon.net or call 304-261-8543 if you are interested in something as we may be able to meet you at the store.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Stay warm.

Seasons Greetings !!!
We had snow recently though don't fret, it is all going to melt away today. I think snow brightens everything up in is what an otherwise dreary winter. Of course we don't get a lot of snow here so I can more easily be appreciative than say, folks in Chicago or Wisconsin.
November 25th
I have added a few pictures to the inventory pages. We also have some new old mirrors, gold gilded and gorgeous.
Happy Thanksgiving!
November 23rd, 2009
Despite the appearance of Christmas decorations, Rick and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Stop in with your family and friends over the weekend. The bench shown below has sold though we have many other seating options available.

Hedgesville Heritage Day is history reminding us the holiday season is fast approaching. Even the Dollar General has Christmas decorations out. Do you remember a time when they waited until after Thanksgiving?
Speaking of the holidays - do you need more places for people to sit? Rick just came back from auction with a whole bunch of chairs - oak, plank bottom, windsor... there are more than we have room for which is actually good for you. How do you say overstock ? Low prices!
PLUS - check this Deacon's Bench out !!!

Saturday is Heritage Days in Historic Hedgesville
Area churches and community organizations will have all sorts of goodies and fun for the family. We will have items on clearance in the back yard including an oak table and old mission style desk.
Just in (and not on clearance) - a beveled edge carved marble top coffee table!

Tomorrow Rick will be here having risen early to see me off on my 26.2 mile run from Harper's Ferry north thru Antietam Battlefield before heading south into Shepherdstown.
Wish me luck.
Updates on the store...well...the mirror pictured below is sold. Surprisingly however we do still have the Hoosier style cabinet. We also have a nice floral feed sack quilt if you are interested. I am personally tempted to take it home myself.

It is hard to plan anything out of doors with these weather changes we've been having. If you aren't able to get out, be sure to check our inventory pages. I am going to post pictures of the marble top washstand and table soon - if they don't sell this afternoon. The farm table sold last week.
September 13th, 2009
Rick has just returned from auction with a lot of nice things including Bone China teacups and a few marble top pieces. Oh yeah, he also picked up a couple old wooden rulers. Stop by soon to see these new arrivals.
September has arrived!
The cool weather made it much easier for moving in some new dressers. They are gorgeous 19th century pieces. COME SEE!

It cooled off and some folks came out to see us which was nice. We were able to move in a new piece today - a very LARGE new piece.
It is an early stepback cupboard with the leaded glass display cabinet on top.
This piece is 7' 6 1/2" tall and just over 50" wide. It is gorgeous if you like early pieces. There is a photo on the inventory pages near the end.
Click on contact us for directions and make plans to stop by.
STILL IN STORE

Beautiful any way you look at it - this vintage kitchen cabinet has the flour bin and the porcelain green top pulls out for more usable space. Come by for a look.
Our hours will remain for the most part,
Thursday and Friday 11 - 5; Saturday 10 - 6 and Sunday 12 -5. Keep in mind, if you think you'll be arriving close to closing time, it's recommended you call us as we sometimes close up a bit early when it's dark & dreary out. Foot traffic in Hedgesville is slow at times however we'll be more than happy to wait if we know you are coming.
Take your time browsing the website. I try to update it weekly. If you like what you see here, hopefully you'll be able to visit our store where you can eye these wonderful items in person. If you REALLY like something, give us a call and we'll be glad to put it on hold for you. And do let me know if there is something, anything, amiss with the website. Thanks.
View pictures on our inventory pages.
